World first load bearing carbon-fiber-reinfocement-renovation of a 120-meter-long alpine bridge. The supporting structure and the roadway were reinforced with a carbon concrete layer of 3cm. Therefore 7,800m² mesh were installed with 110 different molded and flat mesh designs.

The bridge was passable during renovation work and a load increase of more the 60% was made possible. A great achievement by all partners in the project. We would especially like to highlight the innovative spirit of the Vorarlberg State Civil Engineering Office.
