Concrete repair work at the avalanche gallery at the Stubai Glacier Austria has been completed.

Renovation and carbonation protection of 181 supports of the avalanche road shelter at Stubai Glacier is finished.

With a 3cm thick layer of carbon mesh reinforced concrete the durability of the infrastructure is extended and compared to a conventional repair, many resources could be saved.

1,200m² carbon mesh was used. The mesh was designed in a very complex moulded form as a trapezoid (double-curved U shape) and 2.,200 special anchors were integrated to improve the connection to the existing infrastructure.
